  1. Haven sees symphonic metal masters Kamelot striving for new heights with their epic and highly emotional trademark sound: as if this album was meant to be a soundtrack for an unforgettable and monumental silver screen experience, it boasts dark melancholy, aggressive metal and soul-soothing melodies!/5().

  3. 'My Therapy’ is a brilliant showcase of Kamelot songwriting. It has the well-known romantic touch that is ever present on the records. “You’re the antidote for solitude, injected in my vains. Let the touch of your hand forever be, my therapy.”.
  4. Haven is the eleventh studio album by the American power metal band Kamelot, released in North America on May 5, and world-wide on May 8. The album is produced by Sascha Paeth and mastered by Jacob Hansen. The cover and artwork were created by Stefan Heilemann and the additional art/layout were done by Gustavo Sazes.

  6. It's certainly a heavy album, even by Kamelot's usual standards, but there's a careful attention being paid to melody and it really comes through. End of Innocence and My Therapy are the standouts in my mind, but I really can't point to any failures in the song list. This is a strong album on the whole and a great follow up to Silverthorn/5().

  8. Overall, Haven is an album that feels comfortable enough but the less ambitious songwriting does make it one of the weaker additions to Kamelot's discography. The singles are great and having the usual tropes in place makes it a safe purchase for fans but newcomers would be better off with going for one of their mid-career albums before this one.
